Vancomycinhydrochlorid-5-g-M3151-0005

Vancomycin ist ein Glycopeptid-Antibiotikum, das aus Streptomyces orientalis isoliert wurde. Es bindet an Vorstufen der Bakterienzellwand, in der Regel an den C-Terminus mit -L-Lys-D-Ala-D-Ala (1) und hemmt dadurch die Peptidoglycan-Synthese. Es hat bakteriostatische und bakterizide Wirkung gegen gram-positive Bakterien. Gram-negative Bakterien, ausser einige Neisseria-Stämme, sind resistent. Vancomycin - Hydrochlorid ist in Wasser (>100mg/mL) oder DMSO (ca. 110mg/mL) löslich. Wäßrige Lösungen sind bei +4°C ca. 90 Tage stabil.
