Lyphilisiertes Albumin (Standardreinheit). Hauptsächlich benutzt um Proteine in Lösung zu stabilisieren. Eingesetzte Konzentrationen liegen zwischen 0,01% und 3%. Es ist möglich Albumin durch Gelatine zu ersetzen. Große Mengen an Albumin werden dazu benutzt Blottingmembranen oder in ELISA-Experimenten Gefäßwände mit Protein zu sättigen. Antiserum und Antikörperlösungen werden mit 3%-iger Albuminlösung verdünnt.

Applikation: Widely used to stabilise proteins in solution. Antisera and antibody stock solutions are diluted with 3% Albumin solution.
